Welcome!

Join us for our spectacular autumn concert this year at St Katharine’s Church, Holt, on Saturday, 12th October 2024 at 7.30pm. Entitled ‘For the Beauty of the Earth’, the Choir will perform a wide-ranging programme of popular works.

Joining us for this concert will be the Ebonite Clarinet Ensemble from Trowbridge.

The concert will be given in aid of Dorothy House Hospice.

Included in the concert will be music by Sir John Rutter, Mozart’s beautiful Ave Verum Corpus and Tundra, a fascinating new work by Norwegian/American composer Ola Gjeilo.

American music will be well represented in this programme with beautiful pieces by Elaine Hagenberg, her very popular O Love, Dan Forrests’ haunting item Shalom, the exciting Festival Sanctus by John Leavitt and Ruth Morris Gray’s lively setting of Go Down, Moses.

There will also be British music with Elizabeth Poston’s delightful version of Dance to your Daddie and Yundah, a piece based on a Hebridean chant by Audrey Snyder.

The concert will end with Brahms’s How lovely are Thy dwellings from the Requiem and a choral selection from the ever-popular musical Les Miserables.

To end a busy year the choir will be performing a Christmas programme in St. Andrew’s Church, Devizes on Saturday, 14 December at 5.30pm.

We look forward to having you with us for our 2024 concerts.
